The era of miraculous powers

If you have been following the news channels, you may know already what this is all about. Its on the supernatural phenomenon as the media would name it. It started from the sea water in bombay turning sweet for a while. Science claimed it to the excessive rains whilst faith claimed it as miraculous powers. Cant say which one weighed more fact or fiction ? And few days back yet again the thread started flowing further, God's idols started drinking milk again. Science called this capillary action..my question to that arguement is capillary action is not a one day phenomenon?? The lighter side of this incident lets me recall from the past, when something similar had happened in the past a few years back, people used coke and pepsi and God loved that too :). Than there was a face impression of Sai Baba (Indian God) seen on the outside wall of a building in Gujrat on its own. This was followed by Lord Ganesh's picture engraved on its own on someones home one fine morning, again as claimed on its own. And only yesterday was a report on a Gular tree (GULAR is a partially deciduous tree with medium to large stature. The scientific name being 'Ficus glomerata') which miraculously started oozing water. The tree was chopped off above 10 feet since years and had no leaves. (This one is located in the heart of Delhi Jama Masjid area). Science calls it trees metabolism and a result of osmosis, since the tree had no leaves the water flowed out. People called it faith, for if science is to be believed, the phenomenon would have been regular or periodic. People throbbed in numbers and started calling the water to be carrying miraculous properties. Maybe it did, I really cant comment or question the faith of so many, however i dont mistrust science all together. Faith and good intentions win over any fact hands down. And science is ever evolving it keeps discovering new phenomenons and explanations attimes to overrule its own past facts claimed. and yet we live in the world where they say miracles happen ! Would you believe in it ?

There are many unexplained phenomena in this world which both scientists and faith healers try equally to bulldoze their fundas. I have a very simple statement to people who say " Show me there is God" - I tell them " Show me there isnt a God". We tend to believe rationalists under the garb of education and modernity but they, just like the faith advocates, do not have proof for what they are claiming. Still we tend to go with them - this is unfortunate - we should have clear, unbiased minds - unbiased either way and till proved, I am willing to accept or not accept any damn reasoning you give, whether its scientific jingoism or simply to ask me to believe in God, as long as it is not harming me...
