More on profoundness

Zoom up on your energy
Each person carries with him/her a persona, which is very unique to the person. And this persona is nothing but your energy zone which gets impacted also by the people, you are with. Did you realize somedays, we are too low on energy and other days are normal or high energy? I recently read an article on the same and it described that everytime you are with people (which is all the time :-D), they start to draw from your energy or you start drawing on theirs, depending on where the source is high (Source fills to the sink ..the physics principle). It examplified the same with the scenarion that, if you are sitting with a person, who is continuosly yamning (he/she is low in energy at that moment) and shall start sapping on your energy, till the time you split from that meeting your own energy levels would have gone down from before. Its a very interesting phenomenon to understand reiki and meditations are all based on the same principle. We are all sources of energy and we continously gain that from the universe via our chakras. I am sounding too profound here again, but I liked the thought and wanted it to be the part of my so called e-book aka blog :)
Honestly I am still reinventing myself (which I think will never stop :)) or may be finding my own answers to the philosophy of life and so far I am not too bad I would say ;)

Believe it or not
Every one is entitled to his/her own set of thinking, perceptions and decisions and most of the times the decisions are not appreciated with ease among all. It takes a lot of patience to get to your own skin and think from other person's mindset and finally accept the same as the flow. If we cant convince someone of our beliefs than its either the other may be correct in analysis or may be making that decision bounded by his/her circumstances and thats probably what life entails for him. And often right than wrong this is the way life goes on for each one of us. And looking back we all agree that everything happens for the best !

everything happens! and what is beyond our control is termed as 'best' by us :-)

Before I comment on the blog, I would like to comment on Seema's comment itself - the phenomenon you stated is also called fatalism for which, we, Indians are famous for.

For believing/not believing, I can only say that some centuries ago when Galileo and Copernicus had made their postulates, they were dubbed as heretics. We, many centuries later, arent doing any better than these simian forefathers who did so. Only people are spared the stakes since wood has become costly and people do not believe in unnecessarily adding to pollution by burning up people live. So we have progressed that much and I am mighty proud of that.

Vandana - keep profounding - its interesting read.

Its almost sounding like "Rippleys believe it or not" section to me. But I enjoyed both your comments. In this world a lot of things happen what we dont wish for, but over a period of time when you look back and see it qualifies that it was best for us, we just didnt value it that time to term it as "Best". I liked an antidote on this which says "Apne mann ka ho tau acha, aur na ho tau aur bhi accha" (than its God's wish). Infact there was an interesting postulate yesterday by Vanita on IM chat (I will pull her on this one shortly..just wait and watch). This was when we see people around us contended we become uncontended and look for reasons for justification that they should have paid a price which was way too expensive and painful. I would not delve into this more before I pull her in this thread and share her analysis. Hail Galileo!

Ok. Here comes the analysis-to-death specialist...
I agree with both Seema and ddlj420. How? The unified theory.
The unified theory (as postulated by me) says that some part of our life is controllable, though some part may be predestined. How can that be?
Consider this theory...every seed has a potential to grow into a plant. But its growth is controlled by some external factors..soil/nutrients/moisture etc. After it falls on the right type of soil, it has to wait for its "season" when it will germinate. Once it sprouts, any biologist can predict what _type_ of plant it will grow into. So while Palm seeds grow into tall trees, mango seeds grows into thick, but not high, fruit bearing trees. So is the destiny of the tiny seed fixed?
Yes, and No. The biologist predicted the type of tree. But not all mango seeds grow into healthy Mango trees. It still needs good nutrients, good sunny weather (and whatever else produces good mango trees). The height that a Palm tree will attain is also not something the biologist can predict. So is the destiny of this seed fixed? No.

So, maybe, we all are seeds. Except for one difference. We can choose the soil we grow in.

To reach our full potential, we may have to travel wide, or work hard to find the right soil. Some people find that lure of money makes them grow. Others find that power is their growth-hormone. Some others respond to warmth. And yet others grow in adversities (I call them rice plants, they grow in water-soaked paddies). Once you've determined what makes you tick, you've discovered the growth hormone of your species type.
Then one has to wait for the right season…its not fully understood how the position of the sun triggers a seed to come out of its dormancy, but if you see the bigger picture, it seems that Sun, a star, is helping the seed out of its dormant period. This _suggests_ that stars/planets _may_ aid our growth. Without going into the argument of whether astrology means anything, let me just say, they may or may not affect us.

Then a seed has to have the right nutrients. A good culture, a tolerant society, good mentoring culture, supportive families, all of these are essential for an individual to attain his full potential. Presence or absence of these will finally decide how far a person attains his pre-destined potential.

So whenever I see a person attain dizzying heights, I think to myself...he's got the right reason, season, and support. For others, the struggle for survival may involve trying out various options in life before they hit the lucky combination of all of these.

That said, a Mango tree cannot reach the heights of a Palm tree. So in the end, we can only achieve the maximum of _our_ potential. And comparisons to others are pointless. In this forest of life, we have to accept that some are just meant to be the fruit-bearing trees, that's it.

That’s my (still evolving) personal philosophy of life. It helps me accept my limitations, yet keep pushing myself to max out my growth potential.

So do I believe "it happens for the best"? No. But I believe that if I am a tree, and I break a few branches, I'll again grow..all I need is to shed old stuff in autumn, so that I'm ready for growth when spring arrives.

Voila ..I am sure you all are amazed like I said before, this is too profound of a thought ! Its like to each one its own, each seed has its own nourishment to derive the meaning of life. Its a beautiful capture of thought and ofcourse the chakra excercise which we all did recently, i heard everyone enjoyed.Wanna make it more interesting ..let me try and plug PV in here..lets see how he flows it forward. Watch this space.

"...I am sure you all are amazed.."
Oh come on all, be brutally honest! I'm sure you all are holding your heads in your hands and simultaneously trying to shake your head, as you think...Is that a comment on the blog, or a blog on the blog?!? (teeheehee)

Please comment, friends. I don't want to have the last word on the topic. Er..last few words. Er..last essay.

I cant leave questions/comments unanswered anytime..so I am flowing on the last words ..lest it flows again and i shall be a part again :))
I think we all agree, that life teaches to all a lesson in its own way and the philosophy starts on. This is the 30 plus thinking ..if we question this to ourselves 10 years down the line it may be a different philosophy that time. This was not what I knew/believed in 10 years back so I am sure would still evolve further from now on. But at the intelligence level, I am impressed by all of you for being equally profound in your own ways and thank God for knowing you as much, for being the beautiful people you all are from inside.

Why are you folks behaving like wrinkle wrapped nonagenarians who have lost a couple of teeth - its ok to profound but profounding seems to have reached the height of Eiffel ... life is there for enjoying and limited profounding so enjoy maadi....
Seema (the saner among the rest)- you got Hajmola on you? I am getting scared by this profound profounding ...

My chakras must be on the roof ..for i played it twice it showed me blank page at the end and my patience ran out. So I am good the way I am :)
Who are you talking abt ddlj ? Let me give you some juicy stuff to add to the age factor. I am still called 'Didi' in my dance school ..ahem.. and sometime back some of my batchmates asked me what college I go to ? Isnt that exciting :)) And even at work I have run in many places when they dont believe I am managing a big group by looking at my face till they interact with me. So hurr u go I am still a lot young at heart and my enthusiasm rubs on you all so you all arent too bad as well ..hehe

I believe they meant Dadi but misspelt it as Didi

tee hee - I had the last word :-)

I have pudin hara with me (not hajmola) ..does that help in reading the words correctly ???
Are u dizzy/unwell/under a medicine spell/drunk ..all these lead to a misinterpretation of facts. (read the complete line in my prev comment, I stated facts of college, which u didnt digest) and you have to accept that lost it to me :D

Even Visiting lecturers go to college...
Btw I never thought pudin hara aided in reading ... I thought they were there for stomach ailments but the world is amazing - profound people finding new uses for pudin hara ... wow ...

I am glad we are out of the profoundness loop finally. But spare me ..if I claim to be older you have objection, if I dont you have that objection too. You have been seeking hajmola, but dont want pudin hara. Your mind is working all correct - this analysis I added purely for checking fault area with you (stomach/eyes/mind).

This was like a PM's disposition, or a judge's final judgement :)
U know its friday the 13th and i heard this morning on the radio, some find it quite superstitious. I had a early morning brush with my car, with a stupid car driver. Was extermely minor and no harm but nevertheless its 13th. I think was "Good" that no harm done ;)
Anonymous said…
Dont limit yourself to some belief - think - whats special about Friday - it could have been some other day if we had a 8 day week. It could have been another day if we followed the lunar calendar ... its all in the mind and use your chakras to go out of the day ... everyday on my birthday I wonder it could have been another day ....
If you look at the origin of Friday 13th, it came about from a movie by the same name and they were successful in merchantizing this date to such an extent that we still believe it. And know why it was Friday the 13th and not Thursday the 12th or Saturday the 14th - it was because the movie released on that date ... well now I am profounding - kya kare yeh blog topic aur blogwali hi aisi hai...
To answer Vanita - enjoy maadi is used a lot in Hyd too ...
Vandana Bhatia said…
gee ..i was pulling this on a humorous note and u plugged profoundness again. In the morning they were doing a survey over what your superstitions are, some get afraid by Friday the 13, some think breaking of a mirror is a bad sign. So I was curious to know what is your superstition if you have one.
And for heavens sake no more profounding on the post ...pleaaaaseee
